This lesson trains you to undo a committed payroll run with Rollback Commit before it is submitted.
Steps
In the top menu click Free Payroll Practice.
On Your Companies click Load RPN practice sandbox (Recommended first).
Click Confirm.
Click the company name Cloud Sandbox Ltd.
Click the RPN tab.
Click Retrieve RPN.
Click the Run Payroll tab.
Click Calculate Preview.
Click Commit to Payroll.
On the committed view, click Rollback Commit.
Click Calculate Preview.
Done when
Run Payroll shows Calculate Preview again. It does not say the payroll is committed and awaiting Revenue submission. Do not click Submit to Revenue. This is practice data in this browser, not a live Revenue filing.
This lesson trains you to generate a submission from a committed payroll run and send it to the practice Revenue API.
Steps
In the top menu click Free Payroll Practice.
On Your Companies click Load RPN practice sandbox (Recommended first).
Click Confirm.
Click the company name Cloud Sandbox Ltd.
Click the RPN tab.
Click Retrieve RPN.
Click the Run Payroll tab.
Click Calculate Preview.
Click Commit to Payroll.
Click the Submission tab.
Click Generate Submission.
Click Submit to Revenue.
Done when
The Submission list shows ACCEPTED after Submit to Revenue succeeds. Generate Submission creates a READY record; that alone does not finish this lesson. Do not roll back after Submit to Revenue. Rollback Commit is only valid before submission. This is practice data sent to the fake Revenue API, not a live ROS filing.
This lesson trains you to export all company slots to a local backup file and import that file through the Manual credits path.
Steps
In the top menu click Free Payroll Practice.
On Your Companies click Load Manual credits sandbox, then Confirm. This replaces the Manual credits practice slot.
Click the company name Sandbox Ltd.
In the footer open Show advanced save options.
Click Export Backup and keep the downloaded JSON file.
Note the company names and employee counts saved in the file, including the other company slots.
Click Back to Companies. Beside Sandbox Ltd click Edit, change Company Name to something recognisable (for example, Sandbox Ltd Changed), then Save.
Open the renamed company and return to Show advanced save options in the footer.
Click Import Backup and select the same JSON file you exported.
Check every company name and employee count against the file. The saved company names should be back, replacing your later changes.
Done when
The imported companies and employee counts match the file across every company slot, and your later name change has been replaced by the saved name. Import Backup replaces the payroll data in this browser with the file contents. This is the local save through Manual credits. Running payroll stores work in this browser; it does not create or update your downloaded file. Check the result yourself, then click Mark complete.
This lesson trains you to save all company slots to a Neon cloud workspace and restore the pushed snapshot.
Steps
In the top menu click Free Payroll Practice.
On Your Companies click Load RPN practice sandbox, then Confirm. This replaces the RPN practice slot.
Click the company name Cloud Sandbox Ltd.
In the footer open Show advanced save options and find Cloud sync (Neon).
Click Create workspace to get a fresh practice workspace key. Keep the key private.
Click Push to cloud and wait for the success message.
Note the company names and employee counts you pushed, including the other company slots.
Click Back to Companies. Beside Cloud Sandbox Ltd click Edit, change Company Name to something recognisable, then Save. Do not push again.
Open the renamed company and return to Show advanced save options in the footer.
Click Pull from cloud, then Pull and replace. This replaces every company slot in this browser.
Check every company name and employee count against the snapshot you pushed. Your later name change should be gone.
Optional check: click Undo last pull, then Restore local copy. Check that your later name change returns; the cloud snapshot stays unchanged.
Done when
The pulled companies and employee counts match the snapshot you pushed across every company slot. This is Neon cloud storage, separate from the fake Revenue API. A payroll run stays in this browser and does not reach the cloud until you choose Push to cloud. Pull replaces browser payroll data. Optional Undo last pull restores the browser copy from before the pull without changing the cloud snapshot. Use the Coach confirmation buttons for your own checks, then Mark complete.
